Six members of Pembrokeshire Youth Assembly visited Cardiff last weekend to attend a 3-
day conference on environmental sustainability hosted by Cardiff Youth Council. Young
people who attended represented Haverfordwest High, Henry Tudor, Milford Haven and
The young people looked at the social, economic and environmental benefits of a number of
projects and discussed their priorities for a sustainable Wales, including:
Re-wilding Britain; building low carbon homes; methods of removing CO2 from the
environment; community energy projects; active transport; reducing carbon in agriculture.
The group will meet again later in the year, and plan to share their ideas with decision-
makers across Wales.
